Usage of Organic Fertilizer

Organic fertilizer, commonly known as farmyard fertilizer, refers to slow-release fertilizer containing a large number of biological substances, animal and plant residues, excrement, biological waste and other substances. Organic fertilizer contains not only a lot of essential elements and microelements, but also a lot of organic nutrients. Organic fertilizer is the most comprehensive fertilizer.

Regarding to the raw material for the production of organic fertilizer, poultry manure is one idea raw material. As the fresh poultry manure is with high humidity up to moisture content 70-75%, thus the suitable poultry manure dryer machine will be needed.

The function of organic fertilizer in agricultural production is mainly shown in the following aspects:

1. Improve soil and fertility. When organic fertilizer is applied to the soil, organic matter can effectively improve the physical and chemical status and biological characteristics of the soil, ripen the soil, enhance the ability of fertilizer conservation and supply and buffer capacity of the soil, and create good soil conditions for the growth of crops.

2. Increase production and quality. Organic fertilizer is rich in organic matter and various nutrients, providing nutrition for crops. After the decomposition of organic fertilizer, it can provide energy and nutrients for soil microbial activities, promote microbial activities, accelerate the decomposition of organic matter, and produce active substances that can promote the growth of crops and improve the quality of agricultural products.

3. Improve fertilizer utilization. Organic fertilizer has more nutrients but lower relative content, slow release, while chemical fertilizer has higher unit nutrient content, less components and fast release. The organic acids produced by the decomposition of organic matter can also promote the dissolution of mineral nutrients in soil and fertilizer. Organic fertilizer and chemical fertilizer promote each other, which is conducive to crop absorption and improve fertilizer utilization.
